BEYAZIT GRAND BAZAAR

Istanbul's Grand Bazaar  is Turkey's largest covered market offering excellentshopping: beautiful Turkish carpets, glazed tiles and pottery, copper and brassware, apparel made of leather, cotton and wool, meerschaum pipes, alabaster bookends and ashtrays, and all sorts of other things.

It is a must  popular placefor visiting  and buying. The Building is magical with all the bright colors and all the people from all around the world. It is so big and and so clean and well organized. This is an enormous covered area of over 3000 shops.Sit and enjoy some turkish coffee and tea and watch people go by. The Bazaar is closed on Sundays.
It is like many bazaars in that there is huge repetition of the kinds of shops and different in that there are many very exclusive places with beautiful and exclusive things to buy.Be prepared to bargain and drink lots of tea I do not think this is a place to find good quality products. It is a 100% place for tourists, there are a lot of stores and most of them sell the same things. You can find presents for friends and cheap jewelry.
